Ashrafi warns of conspiracies to divide Muslim Ummah over Palestine issue

ISLAMABAD, Oct 23 (APP): Special Representative to the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony and Pakistani Diaspora in the Middle East and Islamic Countries, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, on Monday asserted that there are conspiracies afoot to divide the Muslim Ummah concerning the issue of Palestine.

Speaking to the media accompanied by Syed Ziaullah Shah Bukhari, Maulana Allah Wasaya, Syed Osama Bukhari, Mufti Syed Ashiq Hussain, and other respected Ulemas and Mashaikhs, he expressed that the Pakistan Army took pride in the nation.

He also commended Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir for his resolute support for the Palestinian people, which he regarded as a heartfelt expression of solidarity with Palestine.

Ashrafi, who also serves as the chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, highlighted the world’s growing awareness of the dual standards maintained by European countries, the United States, and the United Kingdom in matters related to children. He criticized the deafening silence in response to the tragic killing of children in Gaza.

He emphasized that the Palestine issue was fundamentally a struggle between the oppressor and the oppressed, underlining its significance for all of humanity.

Ashrafi urged the United States, Great Britain, and European nations not to jeopardize global peace for the sake of their affiliation with Israel, warning that if the flames in Gaza were not extinguished, they could spread worldwide.

He further contended that anti-Islamic and anti-Muslim entities were trying to exploit the situation in Gaza to incite chaos in the Muslim nations.

He also called upon the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a central point of unity for Muslims, to lead Islamic nations in taking practical steps to resolve the Palestine issue.
